Free Space is the result of three artists coming together in dialogue around themes of architecture in Egypt and Germany, questions about the leftovers of daily life in the city and the research of ‘free spaces’ in the city.
In the fnal structure, used manufactured material is paired with raw clay dirt- all found locally in Bonn. In its creation process, Free Space generated exchange between the artists; in its fnal form, the work also encourages viewers to enter the space, meet and dialogue.
Te artists were concerned with how materials can be used to propel both their own as well as the audience’s creative discourse.
